E-Reader was great good cool even. It is still supported in friggin Japan but in the US? Pretty much died within a year. What happened to the G & W series for instance? Damn them. F-Zero & even MMBN4 had E-Reader support in Japan but not here. And think of the POKéMON! NoA covered up all traces of E-Reader support in Colosseum but for Fr/Lg/E the homes in which you can blatantly tell they're to be used at are still no attempted coverup at all just a big screw you.
XBOX360 is gonna have custom faceplates but did you know the Cube also had them? MS'll get away with ripping off Nintendo without most people knowing cause NoA never made any customs available in the US. Even Europe got some....ugh... How about the Metroid Prime 2 tv ad? Talk about atrocious. Keep shoving it in our faces that Samus is a girl. Samus is supposed to be anonymous for the most part...learning her identity should be a treat but oh no they had to make it oh so obvious just for their "cool" ads. Nintendo Puzzle Collection. Why the hell was that never brought to the US Gamecube? Nintendo is all about making cheap cash and this would easily made some. They're friggin old already had been released in the US seperately puzzle games that wouldn't be hard at all to localize. -_- Speaking of forgotten games hows about Earthbound 0 & 1?! Again, 2 games that had been translated for US release and one even had been released. What could possibly cause them to NOT release a big name RPG for their still hottest system this gen? Don't forget the anti-Gamecube months of April & May. April had ZERO releases period. That's downright inexcusable! Even the Dreamcast in its final death throws didn't go without a single game release for over a month. And now in May we get 3 games....two of which are multi-system shovelware. WTF? June looks better but so far for July its back down to 2 games.... are we supposed to take them seriously when they say the GC will be alive and well into 2007? Sure....perhaps in Japan.. ;_; Onto the subject of Animal Crossing where's the dang unlocking keys for SMB & LoZ? We wouldn't even have Punchout! if it weren't for NoE's code generator. Nintendo Power also deserves a kick in the nuts. Their AC section was taken away but brought back to supposedly live on as a quarterly special. Well it stayed for 2 quarters and was swept under the rug again. Way to treat your first new IP of the generation to (soon) hit 1 million sold. About colors, why was the Gameboy Player only released in black in the US? Sucks to be those with the Platinum, Orange and Purple 'cubes. And hey take a look at how they're handling new DS colors. Japan's got 6 colors in 5 months and the US won't even have its second color until July! Why only one new color anyway?! Ah yes. The DS. NoA sure knows how to market this thing eh? That's why it's currently sold LESS units in 2005 so far then the 5 / 6 weeks it was out in 2004! They're treating it the same as the GBA & GC. They put it out on the shelves and expect it to sell. Yes I know year round advertising isn't feasible for any company but aside from launch week there have been no ads! They're also pretty slow ass at bringing DS games to the US. Japan's DS released list has gotta be double if not more then the US one. Some launch games haven't even made it over yet! All in all this rant could be considered biting the hand that feeds me but hey what the hell, to bad. It's more like biting the hand that ISN'T feeding me. |
