Last generation of games was pretty awesome with tons of compilations of older/ancient games being released on the cheap! This generation is a different story however! Now they sell 'em on a per game basis for about $10 a game and always digitally only (but thats something for another time >.>). Some compilations have come out but reallys we already got the best of the bestest the last time around so these are just re-releases? idk something like that!
But now now the focus is on remaking them one by one using the most ass devs available! The graphics/art style are almost always wayyyyy off from the tones of the original game but as an act of niceness they'll sometimes allow you ta play using the original graphics+vaseline filter -.-! Shit sucks! It seems like every week now some company is announcing or hinting at yet another "retro revival". Have they really nothing new to make? Have people not yet grown tired of these companies cashing in on their nostalgia? I guess not! Hey dummies these franchises died for a reason! Either ya ran them into the ground or they just sucked to begin with! Why don't ya try making something new instead of going the old nostalgia route huh? Aren't those lil download games supposed to be cheaper to make then full fledged disc release? Download titles are where the risk is to be taken right?? So wtf guys! Knock it off already! Oh and pixel art was never good. Just sayin'. |
